Max König
“The saxophonist cuts a towering figure, swaying back and forth, threading a mystical tapestry of ornamentations, blowing rapid fire, stream-of-consciousness improvisations.”
Drawing inspiration from jazz giants and Arabic, Turkish and klezmer music, Max König and his first class band are a unique sound, sight and spirit to behold.
Kismet Project
Turkish vocalist Ms. Onur Kurt leads the Kismet Project, delivering traditional middle eastern and arabic classics. Drawing elements from the music of the Turkish region and Balkan Peninsula, one can hear the parallels between middle eastern, mediterranean and east European forms with latin American and French gypsy jazz inspired modal improvisations.
